Cappella dei Bianchi

Visit the Cappella dei Bianchi to admire the works by Giordano, Fracanzano and Vaccaro. Along the side walls, twelve canvases depict scenes from the life of Saint Anthony. The ceiling features four large paintings: The Eternal Father, The Virgin with Child and Saints, The Immaculate Conception and Saint Francis.

In 2019, the sculpture "Il figlio velato" by Jago was installed. Carved from a single block of marble, this work shows a child covered by a veil, symbolising the death of innocent children in today's world. The work draws inspiration from the "Cristo velato" by Giuseppe Sammartino, which highlights the sacrifice of a man for the community.

Jago's work represents contemporary realities, prompting reflection on images that are often overlooked. Look at the works by artists such as Giordano and Jago's marble sculptures.
