Overview
Giorgio Magri, originally from Milan, is the first and only exponent of insult comedy (literally "the comedy of insult") in Italy, a genre whose champions are the giants Groucho Marx and Don Rickles.
Politically incorrect jokes and merciless black humour, but in his own words: "There is no hatred but mockery, I mostly make fun of myself."
He is a member of the Melamarcia collective and took part in the second season of Natural Born Comedians, and in the fourth and sixth seasons of Stand-up Comedy, both programmes on Comedy Central (channel 129 on Sky).
"Giorgio Magri is the only comedian able to strip his insults of bitterness and judgement" (F: Menichella GQ Italia).
"Giorgio Magri is the most politically incorrect of the stand-up comedians" (Rosanna Scardi, Corriere Della Sera, Bergamo)
