About — The artist
Hercules and Love Affair is an American disco and dance-punk music group. The band was formed in New York City in 2004 as a project of DJ Andy Butler, joined by Nomi Ruiz, Kim Ann Foxman and Anohni, the latter the lead vocalist of Anohni and the Johnsons.
After signing with DFA Records, they released their self-titled debut album in 2008, accompanied by its single 'Blind'.
The current line-up consists of leader Andy Butler alongside Mark Pistel and two vocalists, Gustaph and Rouge Mary.
In 2022, Hercules and Love Affair collaborated again with Anohni on six tracks from the album In Amber, including the single 'Poisonous Storytelling'. The lead single 'Grace' is a duet between Andy Butler and the Icelandic singer Elin Ey.
