Loreena McKennitt: The Mask and Mirror - 30th Anniversary Tour

Loreena McKennitt is coming to Hamburg for concerts as part of the tour celebrating the anniversary of the album The Mask and Mirror.

The Canadian singer-songwriter and harpist Loreena McKennitt has been active since 1985 and has shaped the fields of world music, New Age and Celtic music ever since. In the same year, the musician released her debut album Elemental. Her artistic career is characterised by a stylistic combination of traditional Celtic sounds with influences from the Middle East and southern European traditions. Among the best-known works in her discography is the album The Mask and Mirror, the thirtieth anniversary of which forms the focus of this programme.

The CCH in Hamburg provides the setting for this performance in Hall 1. The programme is aimed at audiences interested in the artist's tradition-conscious world music orientation. On stage, Loreena McKennitt presents pieces from her many years of creative work in a concert line-up that places the characteristic sound of the harp and other acoustic instruments centre stage.
