Overview
East Forest is an American music group that has been active since 2008 and combines electroacoustic music across ambient, neoclassical and avant-pop. The concert takes place at Heimathafen Neukölln in Berlin.
The group East Forest has been active since 2008, the same year in which its first album, “The Education of the Individual Soul”, was released. Its music moves between ambient, neoclassical, electronic and avant-pop; organic and electronic sounds merge into cinematically conceived compositions. The project is primarily conceived as a solo endeavour.
The catalogue includes over 30 albums, among them a 2019 collaboration with Ram Dass, as well as work with Jon Hopkins, Laraaji, Nick Mulvey and Peter Broderick. East Forest provided the film score for the documentary “Music for Mushrooms”, which examines psychedelics, music and community in times of crisis. Its most recent major work, “Lovingly: A Soundtrack For The Psychedelic Practitioner, Vol. III”, runs to over six hours and was created live during psilocybin ceremonies between 2020 and 2024.
Live, East Forest performs predominantly instrumental repertoire, including in concert halls and at larger festivals in Europe, Australia and Asia. The venue is Heimathafen Neukölln, which presents concerts and performances in Berlin.
