Megadeth

Megadeth are appearing together with Black Label Society and Testament at Munich's Zenith for an evening of American metal.

Megadeth is an American thrash metal and heavy metal band from Los Angeles, founded in 1983 by Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson. The group was signed to Roadrunner Records and released their first album in 1985. Their musical identity is defined by fast riffs and complex arrangements that have significantly shaped the genre.

Black Label Society complement the programme with a mixture of heavy metal, groove metal and hard rock. The formation was also brought to life in Los Angeles in 1998, was signed to Roadrunner Records and released their debut album Sonic Brew in the same year. The line-up is completed by Testament, an American thrash metal band from Berkeley founded in 1983. Their first album The Legacy came out in 1987, and the group is associated with the label Nuclear Blast.

Zenith provides the setting for this gathering of three long-established US metal greats. It appeals to an audience interested in the history and the heavy sound of thrash and heavy metal.
