Overview
On now Permanent access
The Museum der Illusionen in Hamburg presents, in a permanent exhibition, more than 50 interactive installations, optical illusions and immersive rooms that put one's own perception to the test.
At the Museum der Illusionen Hamburg, perception itself takes centre stage. On the tour through the rooms, visitors can try out various effects, such as a tilted room in which one's sense of balance feels different from usual, and perspectives that change as one walks back and forth.
The offering also includes a Brain Gym, where puzzles are solved and logical tasks are worked through. Many installations are designed so that the effects can be photographed from unusual angles.
The museum is aimed at visitors of all ages. The exhibition combines science, perception and interactive experience, making it suitable for anyone interested in sensory illusions.
