Joshua Radin

Joshua Radin, born June 14, 1974 in Shaker Heights, Ohio, is an American folk singer-songwriter and actor. Joshua grew up listening to 1960s Motown, Stax Records and the Beatles, as well as early 1970s artists such as Paul Simon, Cat Stevens and James Taylor. He turned to music and began writing his first lyrics after college, when he moved to New York, where he bought a guitar and taught himself to play. He stated on October 11, 2009 after a concert in Cologne that his greatest musical inspiration is Bob Dylan.

In 2004, Cary Brothers, a close friend of Joshua Radin, gave a demo of the track "Winter" to TV star Zach Braff, a song that was subsequently featured in his series Scrubs. Several of his other tracks have been heard in TV shows and broadcasts, notably Castle, House, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, Brothers and Sisters, American Idol, One Tree Hill, Leverage and So You Think You Can Dance, as well as in films such as The Nanny Diaries, The Last Kiss and Catch and Release.

His debut album We Were Here, released in 2006, was acclaimed by critics and fans alike. His favourite song is "You Got Growin' Up To Do". Joshua Radin has also shared recording studios with great musicians, such as Ryan Adams who plays guitar on the song "Lovely Tonight".
