Kontravoid, Spike Hellis & Nation Unrest

Kontravoid in Cassiopeia

Kontravoid

For over a decade, Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based producer Cameron Findlay has defined the dark electronic arena under his masked moniker, Kontravoid. Blending EBM, electro, and goth into strobe-lit dark pop, his music pairs harsh, rhythmic basslines with a melancholic songwriting sensibility. Renowned for intense live performances, Kontravoid has toured with Boy Harsher, ADULT., and Drab Majesty, establishing himself as a central figure in the darkwave underground.

Spike Hellis

Formed on Halloween 2019, Los Angeles electronic duo Spike Hellis (Cortland Gibson and Lainey Chang) deliver a jolting fusion of EBM, techno, and synth-pop. Their self-titled 2022 debut album tackles themes of isolation and resilience through relentless, high-bpm rhythms and heavy sampling. Following extensive U.S. tours alongside acts like Kontravoid and ADULT., as well as appearances at festivals like Cold Waves and Substance, the duo brings a raw, high-energy stage presence.

Nation Unrest

Nation Unrest is a London-based trio crafting stark, cinematic electronics driven by heavy rhythms, dark atmospheric textures, and raw emotion. Founded by Cal Graham (The Chisel) and Josh Smith (Chain of Flowers), the project expanded with the addition of producer Evil Dust, whose cold, serrated synth work deepens their sound. The band delivers an immediate, pulse-heavy reflection of modern unease.
