El Penedès amb ulls de Gaudí. El vi i la seva gent

An exhibition tracing the relationship of Antoni Gaudí with the Penedès region, with wine and with the people of the territory, in the context of the centenary of his death.

The exhibition, promoted by the Fundació Pinnae, examines a lesser-known link between the architect and the Penedès and the wine culture of the area, beyond his most celebrated works. It is part of the commemoration of the centenary of Gaudí's death and is presented at the Centre d'Interpretació del Cava – Fassina de Can Guineu, in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, a space that hosts exhibitions and cultural activities.

The route follows Gaudí's connections with the region: his family ties, the documented visits to Vilafranca del Penedès and Olesa de Bonesvalls, and his relationship with the landscape, the stone, agriculture and the world of wine. Among the episodes covered is Can Rossell de la Llena, in Gelida, whose estate was the subject of plans and measurements made by the architect, documents that are preserved at Can Bosch d'Anoia.

The exhibition also looks at the way Gaudí turned tradition into innovation, incorporating into his architecture materials, forms and references linked to the territory. It is a proposal designed for anyone who wishes to discover the local side of the architect and his mark on the Penedès, with a route focused on documentation and on the relationship between landscape, culture and his work.
