Jacques Léonard: Barcelona inèdita, anys 50

Galeria Villa Alegre, in Barcelona, presents a selection of photographs recovered from the negatives of the French photographer Jacques Léonard, focusing on the city in the 1950s.

The exhibition brings together images recovered from the negative archive of Jacques Léonard, a French photographer who documented twentieth-century Barcelona. His work is known above all for his project on the city's Romani community, but the continued study of his archive has made it possible to recover photographs that move away from that subject and that, for the most part, had remained unpublished.
