A culinary melodrama full of humour and surprises

La Cubana returns to Málaga to present her new show, titled in French, La cuisine de ma cousine. A « culinary melodrama » made in La Cubana's own way, which this time serves to take us into the world of gastronomy and where, using the typical « Cuban » ingredients they always have us accustomed to (humour, music, rhythm, colour, surprises, audience participation and, on this occasion, also a great deal of local complicity), they will immerse us in this « gastronomic madness » that has taken hold of all of us in recent times.

A madness not only for eating well and savouring dishes for « small mouths », but also for that need to « show off » and for everyone to know what we are eating and where we are eating it.

We are lucky enough to have the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank become, for a few days, the epicentre of world gastronomy.

Synopsis

Brigitte Raventós, the Catalan chef who owns the chain of restaurants scattered around the world, La cuisine de ma cousine, and known as the creator of the cuisine of feelings and holder of countless gastronomic stars, arrives in Málaga, to which she has a strong connection, having been married for 30 years to our fellow Malagueño Fernando García.

For this reason, and because of her international fame, Málaga City Council has awarded her the medal of adoptive daughter of the city at a special ceremony.

In return, and as a gesture of gratitude for this distinction, she has decided to premiere her latest masterclass, Los sentimientos cocinados a fuego lento (Simmered Feelings), internationally in our city before staging it in the world's major cities.

Why does she do it? Why has she chosen Málaga to premiere this grand event? Is it because she finds us likeable? Because we enjoy eating well?
