La pervivència d’una mirada. 100 anys d’Artur Ramon Art

Exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Artur Ramon Art gallery in Barcelona, with some thirty works from different periods and disciplines, from the Mestre de Cabestany to Miquel Barceló.

This exhibition marks the centenary of the Artur Ramon Art gallery, a space devoted to the craft of antiques dealer and gallerist, which now reaches its fifth generation within the same family dynasty. It is presented as the closing event of the centenary year and traces the gallery's history through pieces that have passed through its hands over the course of its history.

The show brings together some thirty works from diverse periods and disciplines, of a quality comparable to the most outstanding pieces that have passed through the gallery. Among the names represented are the Mestre de Cabestany, Zurbarán, Ribera, Goya, Ramon Casas, Picasso and Miquel Barceló, allowing visitors to trace different moments of artistic production within a single route through the galleries.

The selection reflects the rigour and judgement with which the gallery has carried out its work as antiques dealer and gallerist. For visitors, it is an opportunity to see up close the discernment with which the house has worked for a century.
