Agnes Obel - The Meaning Of Flowers

Agnes Obel performs live in Madrid to present her sonic universe that bridges classical music and tradition.

Agnes Obel is a Danish musician, bridging classical and traditional music, born in Copenhagen in 1980. Active since 2009 under the Play It Again Sam label, she released her debut album, Philharmonics, in 2010. Her compositional approach is built around the piano, string arrangements and a voice with a distinct ambient imprint, where instrumental sobriety defines the recorded repertoire throughout her career.

Live, her show typically unfolds with careful instrumentation that brings the intimate atmosphere of her records to the stage. The concert proceeds with a leisurely dynamic, focused on attentive listening and the precise interpretation of the melodies, without grand visual artifice.

This cultural event in Madrid is designed for audiences who follow chamber singer-songwriters and minimalist sounds. The atmosphere in the venue prioritises silence and concentration, offering a concert format close to that of small-scale auditoriums.
