Agnes Obel - The Meaning Of Flowers

Danish composer Agnes Obel presents her musical project in Barcelona, an encounter between classical tradition and contemporary sensibility.

Agnes Obel is a Danish musician, bridging classical and traditional music, born in Copenhagen in 1980. Active since 2009 under the Play It Again Sam label, she released her debut album, "Philharmonics", in 2010. Since then, the project has developed a characteristic sound where the piano, string arrangements and vocals intertwine in compositions with a minimalist feel and an introspective atmosphere. Her recording career includes works released by this same label that have defined a unique style within the current European scene.

Live, Agnes Obel's performance translates the complexity of her recordings to the stage through a carefully crafted instrumental lineup and a repertoire focused on sonic duskiness and melodic precision. The concert offers an attentive listening experience, ideal for fans of contemporary chamber music and chamber pop. Sala Paral·lel 62 provides a suitable setting for this format, with acoustics that favour detail and a close atmosphere between the audience and the stage during this leg of the tour.
