Dones del món

A photographic exhibition by Lluís Vilaró devoted to the female portrait, in which black and white coexists with touches of colour that bring out the individuality of each woman. It is presented at Amics de la UNESCO de Barcelona.

The show brings together photographs by Lluís Vilaró, a photographer who has travelled to more than sixty countries and who for decades has sought to capture the human essence, with particular attention to the female portrait. The title, Dones del món, points to that gaze towards women from different cultures.

Over the course of his career, Vilaró has worked with very diverse styles and techniques, from intense colours to black and white. In recent years he has experimented with a process that combines both languages: the images are converted to black and white and the colour is retained in specific areas of each photograph.

In this presentation, the black and white gives the images a classic and universal dimension, while the touches of colour underline the individuality and cultural richness of each woman portrayed. The exhibition is presented at Amics de la UNESCO de Barcelona, an exhibition space on Carrer de Mallorca, where the full set of works can be viewed.
