Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson, an American acoustic folk musician, performs at the Poble Espanyol in Barcelona as part of his European SURFILMUSIC tour, linked to a documentary about his career.

Jack Johnson is an American musician whose sound blends acoustic folk with a rhythm inspired by the ocean. With more than 25 million copies sold and eight studio albums, he is a global musical reference point who began as a surfer and audiovisual creator.

The SURFILMUSIC tour grew out of a documentary that traces his development from those origins to his consolidation as an artist. The show brings to the stage themes such as the sea, cinema, friendship and community, and seeks to close the link between screen and live performance. The repertoire brings together luminous melodies and songs that have become timeless classics.

Beyond music, Johnson has championed sustainability initiatives through his social action network All At Once and the foundations Kōkua Hawaiʻi and Johnson Ohana, to which he has devoted more than 40 million dollars to environmental and community education. The event takes place at the Poble Espanyol, a space that hosts exhibitions and cultural activities, with an open-air performance.
