La Bella y la Bestia El Musical

Auditorio Cartuja hosts La Bella y la Bestia El Musical, a stage adaptation of the well-known folk tale.

This show follows a young woman named Bella, who lost her sight in childhood, and a prince turned into a beast because of his inability to appreciate the inner qualities of people. The story begins when the Beast holds Bella's father captive, which leads Bella to offer herself in his place at the castle, alongside the unusual master of the fortress.

During her stay in the hall, Bella and the characters who inhabit the space as enchanted objects guide the Beast through a process of learning centred on acceptance and understanding. Through acting on stage, the performance draws on traditional storytelling to reflect on concepts such as empathy, diversity and the integration of personal differences.

This offering, part of the programme of shows at Auditorio Cartuja, is aimed at audiences who go to the theatre to enjoy productions with a fantasy theme. The staging brings the classic tale to live acting, offering audiences an alternative within Seville's cultural offering.
