Mono

Mono perform in Madrid as part of their tour, presenting the instrumental post-rock sound that the Japanese group has cultivated since their formation in Tokyo in 1999.

Mono's musical proposal is characterised by instrumental intensity and the patient construction of symphonic crescendos, a hallmark present since their recording debut with Under the Pipal Tree in 2001. Over the years, the project has consolidated a discography released on independent labels that moves between experimental rock and orchestral melancholy.

Live, the formation displays an instrumental repertory where electric guitars converse with string arrangements, generating a dynamic volume and a sober performance on stage. Without relying on vocals or visual artifices, the performance concentrates on the precise execution of extended pieces that require continuous attention from the audience.

This date at Sala But is aimed at post-rock and instrumental rock followers looking for detailed listening. The venue offers a suitable space for this type of dense-format concert with a restrained atmosphere, where the priority lies in attentive listening to the repertoire.
