Te Falta Mili

A stand-up and comedy monologue in which Rubén Calvo runs through, with humour and audience participation, young people's expectations against the reality of adult life: rents, precarious work and comparisons between generations.

Te Falta Mili is a stand-up and comedy show starring Rubén Calvo at La Iguana, a neighbourhood cultural centre in the Sants district. The show is built on the sense that today's generation was promised a simpler life than the one it has found, with episodes such as the pandemic, precarious contracts, soaring rents and an unstable job market.

On stage, Rubén Calvo mixes classic monologue with improvisation and crowd work, that is, direct interaction with the audience. Starting from the familiar saying about military discipline that gives the show its title, the performance compares generations and runs through everyday situations of modern life. The tone is light and friendly, without melodrama, and focuses on irony and humour about the absurdity of each day.

It is a show designed for those who want to laugh at their own generational experience and share the evening with the rest of the stalls. La Iguana also hosts concerts and shows of other genres, so the venue's programme is varied.
