Gifted with a masterful guitar technique and overflowing sensitivity, the musician has managed to transcend traditional moulds to open up a fascinating dialogue between the genre's living heritage and the most daring contemporary languages.

Driven by the impact of the acclaimed documentary La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés —directed by Antón Álvarez and winner of two Goya Awards— and supported by his Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, Cortés does not merely play the guitar: he sculpts the rhythm, summons the duende in the silences and reclaims the popular soul of art jondo with an unmistakable lyrical maturity.

In his project POPULAR, the Alicante-born artist expands his open and free vision of flamenco to transform the live performance into an experience of striking poetic, visual and emotional power.

On stage, his stripped-back and virtuosic playing intertwines hypnotically with six female voices, body percussion and handclaps, dispensing with any artifice to return the spotlight to the naked truth of the music.

After conquering prestigious international auditoriums and festivals such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Montreux, Primavera Sound and the Grec, his show is consecrated as a ritual in which memory and the future coexist in perfect balance.
