About — The artist
Park Ji-min (in Hangul, 박지민; Busan, 13 October 1995), known as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, choreographer and dancer. Since 2013 he has been a member of the group BTS under the label Big Hit Music. He has three solo tracks that form part of BTS's discography – ‘Lie’ in 2016, ‘Serendipity’ in 2017 and ‘Filter’ in 2020 – which entered the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea.
On 31 December of In 2018 on the Billboard page he published his first solo song, titled ‘Promise’, while in 2022 he collaborated with Ha Sung-woon on a track for the soundtrack of the drama Our Blues. In 2023, Jimin took part in the single ‘Vibe’ with Taeyang and released his first album, Face, which debuted at number one in South Korea and Japan and at number two in the United States. The album's second single, ‘Like Crazy’, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first Korean soloist to top this chart.
In addition, Jimin has become the K-pop group soloist with the longest run on various Billboard charts, including the Billboard Global 200, the Billboard Hot 100 and the streaming song charts. His solo success has marked a milestone for Korean artists in the international music industry.
