About — The artist
Soichi Terada (寺田 創一, Terada Sōichi ; born 19 March 1965) is a Japanese electronic music composer, best known for his work on the Ape Escape video game series. He began producing music in 1989 and also remixed singers such as Nami Shimada. With producer Shinichiro Yokota, he founded Far East Recording in 1990, which released various albums and singles. Following the release of the album Sumo Jungle in 1996, he composed the soundtrack for Ape Escape in 1999.
In 2014, the EP "The Far East Transcripts" was released and generated interest in Terada's work. A year later, the album Sounds from the Far East appeared, which led him to go on tour and create further music.
