Silvia Gribaudi / SUSPENDED CHORUS - Danae Festival

Suspended Chorus è una proposta di danza di Silvia Gribaudi, inserita nel Danae Festival e presentata al Teatro Out Off di Milano, sala che ospita concerti e spettacoli.

Silvia Gribaudi is a multi-award-winning choreographer working in the performing arts in Italy and abroad. Since 2004, she has placed at the centre of her work the social impact of the body and the relationship between audience and performer, through artistic research into choreographic language, dance and humour. Her shows have been presented in numerous theatres and festivals across Europe, Asia and America.

With SUSPENDED CHORUS, the theatre, understood as a space of co-habitation between those who perform and those who watch, becomes the place where spectators are invited to transform into a suspended chorus, plural and necessary, becoming an essential part of the work itself. Influenced by pioneers of dance such as Pina Bausch, Isadora Duncan and Anna Pavlova, Gribaudi confronts the transformations of her body, celebrates its strength and beauty, finding joy and pleasure in exploring its potential.

SUSPENDED CHORUS deconstructs modern canons of beauty and highlights the mortality of the body as an individual entity, while at the same time celebrating the strength and power of the collective.
