Goodbye, Kings at BIKO

On 15 November, Goodbye, Kings return to play in their home city with a concert that traces their journey and opens a new chapter: for the date at the Biko in Milan, the band will preview several tracks from Anthesis, their next album, due out in 2027.

Formed in Milan at the end of 2012, Goodbye, Kings tell stories through instrumental compositions, blending post-rock, classical music and nu-jazz in a constant dialogue with literature, painting and cinema. From the paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec and the poems of Rimbaud and Shiki that inspired their debut Au Cabaret Vert (2014), their journey continues through the myths of the wind on Vento (2016), the photographic visions of A Moon Daguerreotype (2019) and the cycle of existence and the seasons on The Cliché of Falling Leaves (2022), conceived as a single symphonic poem and accompanied by a film with dancers. In May 2025 they released Transatlantic // Transiberian for the Belgian label Dunk! Records in collaboration with Overdrive Records: two expansive musical narratives devoted to the great journeys westward and eastward.

With Anthesis, whose title evokes flowering, the gaze turns to the beauty of flowers in a dark age. The new tracks, performed live alongside the compositions from the previous albums, will offer a first listen to this landscape that is still taking shape.
