Diablada: Kabeaushé + Aunty Rayzor + artistas

A night of rap, club culture and experimentation centred on Africa and its diaspora, with Kabeaushé and Aunty Rayzor as the headline artists, and with Jokkoo Collective, Mooki6 and TNTC, at Sala Apolo in Barcelona as part of the Diablada series.

Diablada puts the focus on Africa and its diaspora, with rap, club culture and physical experimentation as its core axes. Kabeaushé moves between Nairobi and Berlin and performs as singer, rapper and producer. He approaches each concert as a theatrical production that combines pop, rap, rock and baroque.

Aunty Rayzor arrives from Lagos with rap in English and Yoruba that moves between afrobeat, hip-hop and dancehall. Her debut album, Viral Wreckage (Hakuna Kulala, 2023), places her among the most forceful voices in Nigeria. Live, she has played Roskilde and Rewire.

The local line-up is taken care of by Jokkoo Collective, an Afro-descendant collective from the Barcelona scene. Mooki6, of Franco-Guadeloupean origin, mixes dancehall, bouyon, gqom, drum & bass and metal, and has played Sónar and Nyege Nyege. TNTC, of Guinean-Spanish origin, takes charge of the most experimental club session. The evening brings together Nigeria, Kenya, the Caribbean and Barcelona.
