Overview

Vincen García comes to Barcelona with his new album, VIVACE, as part of an international tour. The source places his music within contemporary funk jazz, and the project revolves around the bass and a very pronounced groove.
Brought up in a family of musicians, Vincen García trained as a self-taught player. Based in Valencia, he has taken his bass to stages in several countries, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, with a style that combines technical virtuosity and a steady rhythm.
The concert is presented as part of Piñata and focuses on this new work. Sala Apolo hosts concerts and shows in Barcelona, and this proposal joins that programme with the bass and funk as its common thread.
