Adulto en Prácticas

Himar Armas's stand-up monologue on turning thirty and the feeling of growing up without having learnt how. An interactive comedy built together with the audience at La Iguana in Barcelona.

Adulto en Prácticas is a comedy monologue in which Himar Armas tackles the sense of reaching adulthood without having been handed an instruction manual. The text runs through expectations that go unmet and the absurd decisions of one's thirties, such as paying for a dating app subscription « to try it out », with direct, unfiltered humour.

This is a stand-up show in which the audience plays an active role: the performance is built between the comedian and the attendees through constant interaction. It follows Generación Tuenti, the author's previous monologue, and keeps the same sharp, close-to-home humour.

The show is staged at La Iguana - Cultura de proximitat in Barcelona, a venue that hosts concerts and shows. It is aimed at those who recognise themselves in the everyday doubts of adult life and enjoy observational comedy with audience participation.
