Overview
A piano duo dedicated to classical music, Duo Jatekok brings its show Rammstein on the Beach to Barcelona, a dialogue between musical worlds that appear to be opposites.
Duo Jatekok is a piano duo founded in 2007 and specialising in classical music. Its two members, Adélaïde Panaget and Naïri Badal, play four-hands on one or two pianos, and in 2015 they released their first album, Danses.
Rammstein on the Beach grew out of the world tours the duo undertook alongside the German group Rammstein. Drawing on their interest in the minimalist composition of Monk, Adams and Glass, the pianists present the show as an exchange between musical languages that, at first sight, seem far apart.
The production takes place at La 2, a Barcelona venue that hosts concerts and performances. It is a programme designed for audiences interested in the relationship between the piano repertoire and other musical traditions.
