Almost like a threat, or perhaps a warning, Gurriers invited us to meet them and face the consequences from the title of their debut album. C. (especially those who debuted in 2019 with Dogrel), Gilla Band or Just Mustard.

Dan Hoff, Ben O'Neill, Mark MacCormack, Charlie McCarthy and Pierce Callaghan could therefore have been just another Irish post-punk band, although the richness of tempos and approaches they displayed on Come and See already revealed an ambition that follows no manuals or direct references.

Now they release Erasure, a single that, it must be said, does not live up to its name. Far from erasing anything, the Irish quartet seems to pick up the pulse and tension of Come and See to begin shaping what will be their second album.
