Overview
Sílvia Pérez Cruz, singer and songwriter born in Palafrugell, presents the closing leg of the Oral Abisal tour at the Teatre Tívoli in Barcelona, an album built on two sonic poles.
Sílvia Pérez Cruz was born in Palafrugell in 1983 and began her career in 2004, working across jazz, classical music and folk. Her first album, Llama, was released in 2006. Oral Abisal is a work that she produced herself, organised into two contrasting halves.
The first half, Oral, brings together song, strings, percussion, guitar and collective voices. The second, Abisal, rests on brass, flutes and a circular, deep pulse. The artist's voice moves through both parts, shifting from the intimate to the most abstract, with no clear boundary separating the two territories.
Following a tour of international stages, the concert at the Teatre Tívoli brings that journey to a close. The programme has been conceived specifically for the acoustics and the solemn character of the hall.
