Te Falta Norte

Stand-up monologue by Patxi Zubeldia, follow-up to « Hostia Patxi », about the changes in his life after five years in Madrid and the culture shock of returning to Iruña with his old gang of friends.

Patxi Zubeldia presents this stand-up monologue at La Iguana - Cultura de proximitat, picking up the story begun in « Hostia Patxi ». After five years in Madrid, the show covers Patxi's changes: being recognised in the street, a relationship, the move from Entrevías to Usera and an improvement in his finances that comes hand in hand with fame.

The comic core is his return to Iruña to reunite with his old gang of friends. When he orders a trendy beer instead of a kalimotxo, his friends' looks betray the loss of his northern essence, and the monologue turns that clash between regions into an ironic look at integration in a big metropolis. Anecdotes about fame and money are mixed with the request for an unfiltered Águila.

The title, « Te Falta Norte », captures the shout that rings out at every reunion. The contrasts between regions and the closeness with the audience are the pillars of this comedy offering, presented in Barcelona.
