This Will Destroy You + Cahill//Costello

This Will Destroy You at Sala Upload

This Will Destroy You arrive in Barcelona on 7 December, with Little Joy, for a concert at Upload featuring Cahill//Costello, the Scottish duo formed by Kevin Daniel Cahill and Graham Costello.

From Texas, This Will Destroy You have spent more than two decades building one of the most recognisable worlds in contemporary instrumental music. Their sound moves between post-rock, ambient, drone and doomgaze, combining expansive guitars, cinematic atmospheres and crescendos of enormous intensity. From Young Mountain to essential works such as This Will Destroy You, Tunnel Blanket and Another Language, the band has developed an identity of its own that has also taken it into the audiovisual field.

Their live show is one of their great hallmarks: an immersive experience in which silence, tension, volume and layers of sound become a fundamental part of the music.

As support, Cahill//Costello will bring a more minimalist and experimental perspective. The Glasgow duo combines processed guitar, percussion, effects and analogue tape loops to create soundscapes built on improvisation and mutual listening. Following Offworld (2021) and Cahill//Costello II (2024), they have established themselves as a distinctive proposition within ambient and contemporary music.

Two different languages, united by a single pursuit: atmosphere, texture, dynamics and emotion.
