Overview

Avenue Q is a musical in which puppets and human performers share the stage, presented in London at the Judi Dench Theatre. It is a comic show with a strong adult tone.

Avenue Q is a musical that uses puppets alongside human performers to tell the story of a group of recent graduates trying to build their lives in New York. The characters face money worries, unemployment and uncertain relationships, which the show treats with wit.

Written as a satire of children's television, the show combines sung numbers, comic dialogue and frank treatment of adult themes, so its content is intended for grown-up audiences. Puppeteers are visible on stage alongside the puppets they operate.

The production is staged at the Judi Dench Theatre, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows.
