Io Me Lo Merito | Carlotta Spallino Comedy Show

"Io me lo merito" is an ironic, cynical and above all sincere stand-up comedy monologue in which Carlotta Spallino recounts the emotional disaster of today's thirtysomethings: failed relationships, passive-aggressive therapists, toxically affectionate male friendships, improbable dates, traumas turned into personality traits and one constant underlying question: "how do you get out of it?" Among old flames, erotic mansplaining, plant classes to avoid dying alone and surreal medical diagnoses, "Io me lo merito" is the tragicomic story of an emotionally exhausted generation that nonetheless keeps ordering another drink. Because suffering is fine. But laughing about it is better. And above all... we deserve it.

BIO

CARLOTTA SPALLINO is a comedian from Rome, born in 1991. The second of three children and a proud representative of the middle-child category, she has turned victimhood, insecurity and questionable choices into comic material. After years working for international organisations, in 2021 she began her stand-up comedy career at the Accademia del Comico. On stage she speaks without filters about failed relationships, contemporary anxieties, improbable friendships and all those little failures that, with hindsight, are funny. In 2024 she took part in "LOL Talent Show 2 – Chi fa ridere è dentro" on Amazon Prime Video. Her first one-hour show, "Io me lo merito", is an autobiographical journey through traumas, expectations and terrible decisions.
