Saverio Raimondo| Stand Up Comedy Show

Stand-up show di Saverio Raimondo, in scena al Bargiù Club di Firenze. Una serata di comicità dal vivo affidata a un solo interprete che si rivolge direttamente al pubblico.

‘Stand-up comedy is now moving into theatres, onto our smartphones... But it is bar-room comedy, informal and uninhibited, which has little to do with theatre or algorithms. That is why I keep performing in pubs and clubs, because that is where people have the most fun! The material I take on tour is a mix of new things and standards from my repertoire, and every night I improvise a bit, to keep the show alive. I don't act on stage; I perform. And I invite the audience to let go and enjoy the evening.’

BIO

Saverio Raimondo is a comedian, humour writer and satirist. Born in 1984 and currently alive, he is active on TV, radio and the club circuit, where he regularly performs as a stand-up comedian. He writes for Il Foglio and Robinson, the cultural supplement of la Repubblica. He has published four books, a Netflix special and a comedy album on Spotify. He has won several awards, which he keeps in the bathroom. He took part in a film nominated for an Oscar, but lost. Saverio Raimondo is like the orchestra on the Titanic: while the world sinks, he carries on cracking jokes. He covers everything: the climate, the Third World War, his private life. From sex to technology, from the home to taxes, there is no aspect of our contemporary everyday life that is not metabolised and digested by the fierce satire and shameless humour of Saverio Raimondo, an irreverent stand-up comedian who plays with taboos by shoving them right up his arse.
