Nicolò Porcelluzzi / Flussi d'amore - Danae Festival

Flussi d'amore è lo spettacolo di Nicolò Porcelluzzi, inserito nel Danae Festival e in programma alla Divertimento Ensemble di Milano. Il titolo indica il tema di partenza della proposta.

Nicolò Porcelluzzi (1990) is a writer and author.

He was for many years editor of the Tascabile Treccani and a contributor to numerous Italian cultural magazines, and he has developed a recognisable narrative voice, distinguished by its ability to fuse documentary rigour with literary imagination.

Flussi d'amore is an homage to John Cassavetes' final, heartbreaking film, Love Streams.

Near the end of his life, indifferent to his last illness, Cassavetes manages to make the film he had been carrying in mind for years and years: at last, all his selfishness, obsession and vanity dissolve into the flows of love.

Cassavetes' cinema is a continuous search for the forms of relationship. It does not tell stories, but life as a flow of thought and action. A flow in which brothers and sisters seem like lovers, or parents; in which friends are children, and look after you as grandparents would.

In a world described as being in ruins, we will save ourselves among one another. Among friends, lovers and enemies, lost in a constant flow of interpretations and apparent betrayals, of shared dreams and private nightmares. In the search for salvation, a piano will appear.

In the search for a way forward, a song written in a dream will appear. To sing it, a voice will appear.

Flussi d'amore is a tiny musical hidden inside a lecture, hidden inside the dream of a forgotten film, projected onto the walls of rented flats, among back taxes, half-closed couples and test-tube children.
