Marking 200 years since the birth of Carlo Collodi (pen name of Florentine journalist Carlo Lorenzini), Fondazione di Comunità Milano is staging four evenings to reflect on the present, starting from the themes of his masterpiece, Pinocchio. Through the adventures of the puppet who became a boy, Collodi addressed Italy in 1881 on childhood and education, poverty and social injustice, lies and truth, school and work, freedom and responsibility. And today? Today these very same themes remain at the heart of public debate, both in Milan and nationally.
