Overview
Actor-led theatre - Compagnia Teatrale MATTIOLI
with Monica Mattioli
Text and direction by Monica Mattioli and Monica Parmagnani,
Emma, the king's cook, firmly rebels against what makes no sense in human existence: war. The kitchen table - with food and utensils - becomes the stage for telling the story of two peoples: the Giallotti and the Verdolini - who initially live in harmony - are driven to destroy each other by the witch Tubazza, who cannot tolerate their living together in harmony and without borders. The denied friendship between two children from opposing factions becomes a symbol of the mad, irrational glorification of war. A funny and instructive story. A short, poetic and funny journey into the world of conflict, designed for little women and little men so that they may become the protagonists of a future of wondrous worlds of peace.
