Overview
Gloryhammer is a British power metal band formed in 2010. The project is first defined as heroic fantasy power metal, a narrative approach that places its lyrics and aesthetics in epic worlds, before evolving towards science fiction themes. Christopher Bowes, a keyboardist who had previously been with Alestorm, is one of the figures linked to its origins.
Among their most frequently cited albums are « Tales from the Kingdom of Fife » (2013) and « Legend of the Astral Sword » (2015), works in which the band develops a continuous story across its songs. As for the live shows, the repertoire relies on that narrative line and on the sound of keyboards and guitars typical of power metal, but there are no further details I can state with certainty about the line-up or staging.
The concert takes place at Razzmatazz, a Barcelona venue that hosts concerts and shows. The natural audience for this proposal is made up of those who follow narrative-driven power metal and music with a strong dose of fantasy and science fiction.
