Overview
Jean-Michel Jarre stops off in Barcelona to present his new tour at the Palau Sant Jordi, combining his most famous work with unreleased material.
In late 1976, in a Paris flat and using analogue synthesisers, Jean-Michel Jarre composed Oxygène, an album that laid the foundations for contemporary electronic music through spatial textures and without commercial compromises. Fifty years after that milestone, the French artist returns to the stage with the Oxygene & Beyond tour, a repertoire that intertwines the celebration of his foundational album with the live performance of his new recording work.
The Palau Sant Jordi hosts this performance in Barcelona, conceived as an encounter between memory and sonic avant-garde. On stage, the proposal combines music with a display of light and three-dimensional sound, articulating an intergenerational dialogue between the compositions that launched his career and the sounds planned for the future of his career.
