Pocket Sun at Oporto

Electronic synth pop to warm up the autumn months :)

Pocket Sun (headline)

Since the release of their debut album Mirror In Blue Light in 2024, Pocket Sun have steadily established themselves as one of Britain’s most immersive and sonically distinctive alternative acts.

Over the past year, the band has caught the attention of tastemakers from CLASH to NPR, and from California to Japan. Their music has featured on curated compilations from revered selectors including Kitsuné, Chalkpit Cassette Club and Vinyl Moon, reinforcing a reputation for crafting music that feels both immediately accessible and quietly cult in appeal.

Fronted by vocalist and synth player Gina Marie Tratt, whose background in 70s-inspired animation informs the band’s visual universe, Pocket Sun build environments as much as songs. Ethereal melodies, hypnotic grooves and poetic explorations of escapism, consciousness and nostalgia draw listeners into a space that feels immersive rather than observed.

With international momentum building and their artistic vision deepening, Pocket Sun are now working towards their second full-length album, set for release in Fall 2026.

+ Beck Pocket (support)

This band from Manchester layer lush synths over relentlessly groovy bass whilst discussing change, growing up and nostalgia. Maximalist, glitchy and ethereal, Beck Pocket invites you to a world of pixelated video games and 2000’s dial-up chaos.

WARNING: No pockets, no entry.
