Sunday 11th October Sloppy Joe will be playing original Japanese pressings from Three Blind Mice, mastered by iconic engineers such as Yoshihiko Kannari. These pressings are renowned for their extraordinary clarity, presence and deep, physical bass. Experience rare and distinctive Japanese jazz with their gorgeous sleeves, extraordinary recordings and some of the most desirable—and best-sounding—pressings in the world of record collecting.
Three Blind Mice (TBM) was a fiercely independent Japanese jazz label founded in 1970 by producer Takeshi Fujii, dedicated to capturing the emerging Japanese jazz scene. TBM could be Blue Note’s Japanese cousin, ambitious virtuoso musicians, distinctive artwork and legendary engineers.
