Acerca de — El artista
The Beat is a British ska band from Birmingham, formed in March 1979. Alongside The Specials, The Selecter, Madness and Bad Manners, it is one of the most popular and representative groups of the ska, or 2 Tone, movement in the United Kingdom from the early 1980s.
In the United States, The Beat is called 'English Beat' to avoid confusion with the American band of the same name.
