Bebe Cave: Swoon

Award-winning character comedian and actress Bebe Cave ("One of the most exciting young voices in British comedy" - The New Statesman) explores historical female main character syndrome.

This time it's the Victorian era, where men wear top hats and waistcoats and ladies don't have the vote yet. Good times!

Through the lens of the pre-Raphaelite brotherhood, some very silly men who were very good at painting, and their most famous muses, Bebe skewers pretentious male artistry and the women they love to drown in "a uniquely gleeful, centuries spanning romp" (***** Chortle).

Why are women such beautiful artistic objects, especially when they're dead, and why are the men who paint them so difficult and very much alive? "Smart, slapstick and silly" (** The Guardian). "A bizarre, breathless comedy" (** The List).

"A riotously funny demonstration of Cave's irresistible talent" (**** The Scotsman).
