Short Waves Presents:

CASUAL WEDNESDAY

“Essex-born whirlwind of flowers, tits, and rock n roll” - LOUDWOMEN (2024)

Casual Wednesday is the musical project of Essex-born and North London-based Natasha Petrou. Bold, brash, brazen, unashamedly Essex and unadulteratedly in your face, Casual Wednesday feeds her crowd with a musical diet of psych-rock, petty punk, and sardonic pop-rock, leaving the audience full and satisfied.

Her music is a smorgasbord of emotion; with songs that range from powerful and punchy to moving and ethereal, taking you on a journey of what it really means to be human in the modern day. Come for the songs saturated with ear worms, stay for the sarcastic commentary and spontaneous stand-up routine peppered amongst the setlist.

A determined dreamer with a dedication to funk, Casual Wednesday offers powerful, ethereal indie escapism to those who dare to dream with her.

SEY.MOUR and The Misses

Caught between sweetness and angst, SEY.MOUR. is a fem punk/alt rock artist carving her own path through noise, chaos, and resistance. Rooted in punk’s defiance and jazz’s unpredictability, her music is a bold collision of crunchy guitars, off-kilter melodies, and sharp-edged lyricism. With her supporting band, The Misses she sings, speaks, and shouts feminist and political truths with unapologetic force, channelling the raw experience of being a young woman navigating a world that often feels rigged. Their live performances bring explosive energy and unfiltered emotion, with abstract, sarcastic, and emotionally charged lyrics, a reflection of inner turmoil and outer rebellion. In the world of SEY.MOUR And The Misses, nothing is clean, nothing is quiet, and nothing is off limits.
