Overview

Mamma Mia! is a musical staged at the Novello Theatre in London, built around the songs of ABBA and set on a Greek island. It is presented as a theatre show.

Mamma Mia! is a musical built around the songs of ABBA. Its story follows a young woman who, on the eve of her wedding on a Greek island, invites three men who could be her father, and the group's pop hits carry the action from one scene to the next.

The score uses familiar melodies rather than new songs, so the evening combines a light, comic plot with numbers many audiences already know. The show is staged at the Novello Theatre in London, a venue that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year.

It suits anyone who enjoys ABBA's catalogue or who prefers musical theatre with a lighthearted story and a strong emphasis on song.
