Overview
A new stage musical presented at the Theatre Royal Glasgow, drawing on the Second World War deception known as Operation Mincemeat. The show is staged in Glasgow.
Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical tells the story of the wartime deception of the same name. In 1943, British intelligence released a body carrying falsified documents, intended to convince German forces that the Allied invasion would target Greece and Sardinia rather than Sicily.
As a musical, the production combines songs with scenes that follow the planning and execution of the operation. It is a theatre production with a cast performing on stage, and it suits audiences interested in musical theatre or in Second World War history.
The Theatre Royal Glasgow hosts concerts and shows in the city, and this musical is staged there on several dates during its visit to Glasgow.
