Every Friday night, we bring you Renditions: a live show that packs a punch with DJs alongside to keep you dancing. Think disco and funk to afro beat, jazz, latin, with a fresh take every single week.
On Friday 16th October, Renditions pays tribute to the one and only Fela Kuti, aka the pioneer of Afrobeat. Blending jazz, funk and traditional West African rhythms, Fela forged a sound that broke boundaries and went on to influence generations of artists and scenes across the globe.
Bassist and singer Zamar Eden and her 5-piece band will be bringing those infectious rhythms to life, with DJs keeping things moving alongside.
Big grooves, big energy, and a whole lotta Fela for your Friday.
