Rowan Hackett: Brewed

If it’s only a game, why does it still hurt so much? After a sold-out WIP last year and a well-received debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, Rowan brings Brewed back to Glasgow.

One woman's complicated relationship with football, family and forgiveness, as seen through the bottom of a pint glass.

Full of clever one-liners and bags of self-deprecating wit, Brewed follows Rowan's journey from the carefree vodka and lemonade years through to IPA, parenthood and pizza crunch suppers. Rowan plays a pressing game with great dribbling, fast thinking and moments of genius.

Her gung-ho style leaves her vulnerable to the counter-attack and she doesn't cope too well with balls into the box.

“A lovely, touching, heartfelt show, funny without forcing the laughs and packed with enough personal history to make you care regardless of football allegiances” **** (One4Review)
